List of Notebook Recipients (Set 1)

SNAP Travelling Notebooks Project Recipients for Set One
SNAP Travelling Notebooks Project Recipients for Set One

We can’t believe how much love there has been for the Travelling Notebooks Project, the project kicked off on 27th August 2012 with the first set of books having people signed up from people all over England and the United States, from Scotland, Ireland, France, Jordan and Australia.

The idea behind the Travelling Notebooks Project is to write down all kinds of notes; from brainstorms of your aspirations and dreams, your meal time favourite recipes, little doodles for all that we can’t verbalise, or details of tomorrow’s meeting to become on top of the world! These notes need to be enjoyed and remembered.

Travelling Notebooks Project Recipients Set One

We hope the above lists helps our recipients to the first books know where they are in the line of receiving their book and who their notebook partner will be (the person you are sending the book to after you've filled in your two pages). You can download the lists for your reference here.

Engage with your Travelling Notebook Partner

As we’d like this to be a community project it would be lovely if our participants could get involved and engage with your Travelling Notebook partner; check out their twitter feed – we have set up a Travelling Notebookers twitter list so you can find your notebook partner there; find out their blog, their Instagram or Flickr page. Maybe mention the person you sent it to when you blog, tweet or post your pictures (we love seeing lots of photographs!). To keep the books moving, can we suggest that you try and complete your pages (max. two pages) and have the book posted within a month. We don’t have any MI5 style fancy tracking devices, so we’re trusting you to send the notebook on – let’s see how far the books can really go before finally returning back to Missie Cindz and Emma!

If you are have any questions filling in your Travelling Notebook pages,or would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact us by emailing to: thetravellingnotebookproject@gmail.com

Have an amazing Christmas and New Year's everyone! Thanks so much for following along over here this year, and we look forward to sharing more with you in 2013.

Best wishes

Creative Recipe Swapping

RECIPES Travelling Notebook update
RECIPE Notebook recipent #3 Elizabeth shares with us her love for Breakfast Cups! – Nice :)

RECIPES Notebook Update
The plan for the RECIPES notebook was that people would share their favourite meal-time recipe – everyone has a favourite recipe right? whether it's a family tradition or a good old classic that never fails, it's a dish that means something to you. We hope as RECIPES' pages are getting filled that you enjoy the read and can try something new from our list of favourite ingredients and cooking styles from RECIPES participants.

Notebook RECIPES left my hands on Tuesday 28th August 2012 with one of my all-time favourite bread recipe – heart shaped cinnamon buns – you can read my blog post here. I didn't have enough paper space to write on so I had to improvise – RECIPE notebookers will see this when they recieve it :)

My notebook partner was Dan Mager (twitter: @magerzoid), who shared with us his meal time favourite of Beef Bourguignon accompanied with entertaining doodles and captions (you can see his RECIPE pages on the Travelling Notebooks Pinterest here).

We then saw the notebook going to the lovely Elizabeth (twitter: @rosalilium_) – who shared with us her love for Breakfast Cups, you can read her blog post about her Travelling notebook experience and what she did in her pages on her blog rosalilium.com here. A big thank you to Dan and Elizabeth for their participation and sharing their tasty recipes with us in their own unique way.

Currently RECIPES is now curently with notebook recipient #4, Keri Rowsell (twitter: @lilMissHungry) – and no doubt Keri will having something deliciously filling worth sharing! (we'll keep you posted.

Keep up to date with the Travelling Notebooks
To keep participants up to date with their notebook whereabouts and for those people keen to know what the Travelling Notebooks are about in general, you'll be able to find more details via the media channels below:
Remember when you've finished your pages take a picture, or scan or blog your pages and email them to us at thetravellingnotebookproject@gmail.com.

If you're planning on blogging your pages, please do let us know so we can tell the world. Blog badges are available at the bottom of this post – just right click the image and save to your desktop. And if you tweet/instagram your pages, tag them with the #travellingnotebooks. Look out for Emma's post on this blog soon about her filled in SNAP and READY notebook pages.

We love projects like this because it helps you/us to 'Enjoy the little things' that makes life interesting and meaningful. The simplicity of writing – seeing handwritten type – it's become a rarity nowadays and, don't we all wish we could make time to do more creative things and learn new skills? Most of us feel like our days are filled with family commitments, work and a bit like we're on a a never ending production line (often repetitive too). Well, we hope the Travelling Notebook Projects marks a colourful page in your daily routine and that you enjoy following our project – we've LOTS in-store for you! – Missie Cindz/Cindy

And we have lift off on Ready

The plan for ready is that people share their favourite things, and it left my hands with some shocking drawings of my favourite things; nautical stripes, the mountains, my pup, ice cream, cheese, my camera's and my fav perfume. I also included a picture of me so people could see my smiling face.

I bundled it up and posted it off to Sam @vogue_ismybible in Harrogate for her lovely input.

Now, I know Sam was a little worried about her pages not being 'enough' but I absolutely love them. I love that she has embellished her pages with STUFF. How cool that she has included a packet of Yorkshire Tea and a letterpress card from The Print Project with the instructions to touch it. (I am a little shocked she didn't put running or fitness down though as she has just run a marathon and is becoming a fitness inspiration! Crazy lady!)

I am looking forwards to seeing how other people represent their favourite things. Will it be words, pictures or embellishments?

The book is now with the lovely @Rebeccahelen of Rebecca Writes to get her opinion of her favourite things.
