The Travelling Notebooks phase 2 gets underway!

We can’t believe how much love there has been for the Travelling Notebooks project; a creative writing project which begun in August 2012 to see just how far a set of notebooks could travel and at the same time connect with its writers.

We saw how Phase One of the notebooks (which is still going around the world) had people signed up from all over England and the United States, from Scotland, Ireland, France, Jordan, the Czech Republic and Australia, and with Phase Two of the Travelling Notebooks currently underway we are bound to be in for an action-packed read!

Not only do we have loads of people signed up to both exciting phases, but we have some amazingly talented people signed up. Bloggers and tweeters and photographers who we have admired, mostly from a distance, for a long time. And new bloggers, tweeters and photographers who have signed up and now will be firm favourites in our reading and viewing lists. The project is doing exactly what we set out to do – to bring new people together, and to create an excitement about writing and receiving post.

We will be posting out a copy of notebooks SNAP, READY and RECIPES to our second subscribers from Monday 18th March 2013. To keep the books moving, can we suggest that you try and complete your pages (max. two pages) and have the book posted within a month to your Travelling Notebook partner (we will be emailing your partner's postal details in the next coming weeks). We don’t have any MI5 style fancy tracking devices, so we’re trusting you to send the notebook on.

You can download a PDF of the Travelling Notebooks Instructions Sheet here, explaining what the project is about and how it works.

To keep participants up to date with their notebook whereabouts and for those people keen to find out more about the 'Travelling Notebooks' project, you'll be able to find more details via the media channels below:
When you've finished your pages; tell us how you used your notebook 'companion'. We would love to know your favourite recipes, see your snaps and we'll sure be ready to read your daily musings – you can scan or photograph your page(s) along with a brief note and email these to: thetravellingnotebookproject@gmail.com or feedme@missiecindz.com

And if you tweet/instagram your pages, tag them with the #travellingnotebooks or #SnailMailIsNotDead

How do I get hold of a Missie Cindz Notebook for myself?
Missie Cindz books are available from our Shop Notebook page. Each book comes with 48 pages of blank or lined pages for all your important notes, doodles and favourite recipes. On the inside front cover, there is a small tag to scribble your name; ideal for sketching, keeping as a journal or simply scribbling and doodling all your world changing ideas down. Notebook colours include kraft brown, red or blue. Wrapped in belly band. Printed in the UK on heavyweight recycled luxury paper and card.

Finally, we are both super excited about the second phase of the Travelling Notebooks kicking off, and hope participants enjoy filling in their pages as much as we've enjoyed writing ours. Let's see how far these notebooks can really travel to! – Missie Cindz and Emma
